Once you have decided to invest in Jatropha, just contact us with the programme you wish to invest, the amount and the method. Please remember you can invest with cash or via a SIPP for Tax Free returns. We will send you the Purchase Contract and Terms and Conditions so you can read, sign and send it back to us. Funds will be sent directly to the Programme Managers account. Once funds have been received, your trees will be identified and allocated to you within 90 days.
- You will receive a certificate of ownership with the GPS location of your trees.
- Your income is then paid to you twelve months later and every twelve months thereafter during the currency of your agreement.
- You will also receive updates from the Programme Managers so you know how your trees are performing
- We also encourage clients to take a trip to visit your plantation any time during your investment term, you will be able to see your plantation as well as learning more about the general operation in that country including meeting some of the farmers working on the plantations.
- In the Leasehold programme, you will be asked to complete some forms and transfer your investment. The legal formalities of creating a lease and assigning it to you take about 5 – 6 weeks, whereupon your documents will be issued to you. You should allow £500 for one-off legal fees to create the 99-year lease
- Income is paid to you in arrears every twelve months, though it may be possible with the Leasehold programme to pay this half-yearly or perhaps even quarterly if you prefer. (this option is open to investments above £150,000)
- For those clients looking to transfer underperforming pensions into a SIPP, we can recommend an independent IFA and a SIPP provider who have approved the investment.
